cheerleading empire has catapulted into a multi-million dollar business. His
success driven by the need to forget a life changing encounter with a handsome
quarterback from his college cheer days. Now after hearing his heart's desire
plans to marry, Jace’s carefully placed resolve crumbles. Can his island escape
finally rid him of his past and move his life forward, or will he forever be
stuck as the one tossed away?
Excerpt:
March 2003
Jace gripped the side of the locker, his knuckles turning
white as he dropped his head inside the open metal frame. The Texas Longhorn
University men’s locker room was empty, all except for him and Colton Michaels,
who at the moment had his cock buried deep inside Jace’s ass.
“Fuck… yes!” A loud moan escaped Jace’s parted
lips. Colt slipped his warm palm over Jace’s mouth in an attempt to quiet him.
The hard pounding from behind never stopped.
“Shhh… Jace, baby, someone might hear us,” Colt whispered.
“I’ve waited too long for this.”
“I never knew,” Jace panted.
Author bio:
Best Selling Author Kindle Alexander is an innovative writer,
and a genre-crosser who writes classic fantasy, romance, suspense, and erotica
in both the male/male and male/female genres. It's always a surprise to see
what's coming next!
I live in the suburbs of Dallas where it's true, the only
thing bigger than an over active imagination, may be women's hair!
Usually, I try for funny. Humor is a major part of my life -
I love to laugh, and it seems to be the thing I do in most situations -
regardless of the situation, but jokes are a tricky deal... I don't want to
offend anyone and jokes tend to offend. So instead I'm going to tell you about
Kindle.
I tragically lost my sixteen year old daughter to a drunk
driver. She had just been at home, it was early in the night and I heard the
accident happen. I'll never forget that moment. The sirens were immediate and
something inside me just knew. I left my house, drove straight to the accident
on nothing more than instinct. I got to be there when my little girl died -
weirdly, I consider that a true gift from above. She didn't have to be alone.
That time in my life was terrible. It's everything you think
it would be times about a billion. I love that kid. I loved being her mother
and I loved watching her grow into this incredibly beautiful person, both
inside and out. She was such a gift to me. To have it all ripped away so
suddenly broke me.
Her name was Kindle. Honest to goodness - it was her name and
she died a few weeks before Amazon released their brand new Kindle ereader. She
had no idea it was coming out and she would have finally gotten her name on
something! Try finding a ruler with the name Kindle on it.. It never happened.
Through the course of that crippling event I was lucky enough
to begin to write with a dear friend in the fan fiction world of Facebook. She
got me through those dark days with her unwavering support and friendship.
There wasn't a time she wasn't there for me. Sometimes together and sometimes
by myself, we built a world where Kindle lives and stands for peace, love and
harmony. It's its own kind of support group. I know without question I wouldn't
be here today without her.
It’s a plot I’m sure
most people have either heard about, or read about, or maybe even both: Quarterback meets Cheerleader. Quarterback
and Cheerleader fall in love. Quarterback and Cheerleader live happily ever
after (or do they?). That is the question that will pop into your mind as you
read Double Full by Kindle Alexander.
Colton Michaels, local
hero and All-American Quarterback had it all. Looks, money, a very promising
career in the NFL and a girlfriend. On the other hand, Jace Montgomery,
talented cheerleader, had looks, a great body, wonderful sense of humor and an
unrequited crush on the stunningly handsome, but terminally straight
quarterback.
As graduation neared, the
deeply-closeted Colton decided to risk everything and follow his heart. In the
University men’s locker room he goes after the man of his dreams, Jace. After a
wonderful session of sex, Jace agrees to go on a vacation with Colt to a
tropical locale, where their relationship continues to grow stronger and
stronger.
After the vacation is
over, Colt decides to come out to his agent and his manager. This leaves him
with a difficult decision: stay in the closet, have an incredible NFL career,
and lose Jace; or come out of the closet
and lose Jace forever. Colton makes the only decision he can at the time, one
that will protect both him and the man he loves.
Both men go on to lead
very successful, let lonely lives as neither can forget the other. Finally,
Colt decides he’s had enough and pursues Jace. Can the love they still have for each other
overcome the years of hurt and anguish, and the very real threats for their
safety? The only way to know for sure is to read Double Full.

Being relatively new to
the world of M/M romance, I had never heard of Kindle Alexander as my
introduction to the world of M/M was through literotica.com. There I found
several wonderful stories suggested by a friend. Eventually I ended up
purchasing a Nook and through my daily Nook Today recommendations app I came
across Double Full. The description piqued my curiosity, so I downloaded the
free sample. Once I read the sample I knew I had to get the book, which I did.
Ms. Alexander weaves an
incredibly wonderful spell-binding tale of life, love and the pursuit of
happiness against incredible odds. The characters are easily identified with
and the plot and story arcs incredibly believable. Greed is the primary
motivating force keeping Colt and Jace apart until fate decides to intervene.
Unlike a lot of M/M stories out there, Double Full is not sex-centric. It’s
about the characters and their lives and interactions with others. I find
myself wanting to read more of Colt and Jace’s story. Be sure to check out Full Disclosure, the sequel to Double Full.
On a scale of 1 to 10,
I give Double Full a 9 and put it on the ‘definitely must read’ list.
